Running Accomplishments:

I haven't run many races yet but so far:

2007 PF Changs Rock and Roll Phoenix Half Marathon: 1:43:06

2007 AFC Half Marathon 1:41:26

2008 PF Changs Rock and Roll Phoenix Marathon 3:28:28 I guess the highlight was qualifying for Boston with my first marathon.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Short term goals: run a half marathon under 1:30; not get injured right before Boston!!! Run more races. Continue to improve and remember what's important - that I love to run and it keeps me sane, not to mention the best time ever!!!

Long-Term Running Goals:

Long term goals: Run Grandma's, New York, Chicago, London, Berlin.... run an ultra.... love what I'm doing and doing it in beautiful places with amazing people. Learn from everyone I meet on the run!

Personal:

Other than running I'm passionate about my family, friends, school, Minnesota, trying to put others first, and grace.

Today was my first track work-out since I was umm 15? Let's just say I liked it after the fact and I had forgotten how hard they were. I guess I have gotten really used to running how I want to run and how I feel like running so this was a rude awakening. I'm really glad though, because I know I have been in a rut and I have reached a point were I won't improve anymore if I don't ratch it up a bit.

Again, one of my favorite treadmill workouts that I do when I oversleep (or go out the night before and waking up while it's still moderately tolerable outside here in Tucson (or Phoenix). Start out with an 8 minute mile and notch the setting up every mile so that mile eight is at a 7:18 pace. It's great because my legs get warmed up and it simulates fatigue at the end of a long run or a race.
